Paul Walker - Bowling Green

Postby smashdn » Mon Jul 31, 2017 1:30 pm

Played at Paul Walker Saturday morning. Greens were some of the slowest I have ever played but rolled true. You just had to crush it to get it to the hole.

All in all the course is playable but reflects that this course (and hobson grove) are after thoughts behind Crosswinds. Fairways have crabgrass here and there. Rough is a mix of fescue, crabgrass and clover. Needs a ton of trees cut down but the course is shoe-horned into the property and the trees do serve to keep wayward shots from killing someone.

Bunkers were actually the bright spot. Hadn't been raked but had plenty of sand and played well.

This is a perfect walking course where you could get around in about 1:15 if you wanted.
