WEISSINGER HILLS GOLF COURSE

2240 Mount Eden Rd. Shelbyville, KY 40065 502-633-7332

NOTES:

TEE TO GREEN CONDITION 3-30-09

This course is open to the public. They gleefully take my Mastercard and Visa. No tank tops or cutoffs. They have a nice driving range and large practice green. No caddies. You may walk on weekdays. Malt beverages are available except on Sunday. There is some construction in progress on the outside of the course.
Rolling fairways lead to medium and large bent grass greens with moderate undulation. Water hazards, sand and some mature trees add to difficulty. However, the course is fairly open. The converted barn makes a great looking clubhouse.
The course was designed by Jack Ridge. Built in 1991. Originally named Undulata. The city now owns the course. They have retooled a few holes over the last few years.
6,534 from the tips. 18 hole par 72 for men, 73 for women.
Slope 125 Rating 70.4
...And of course, they have other tees to accommodate other levels of play.

ON COURSE COMMENTS 3-09

Weissinger continues to be a good value. It's open to help keep the masses moving. You can't beat the price for a muni in good condition.
Greens are surprisingly firm for a spring visit, but they were cut and rolling well for March. Some tee boxes could use leveling.
Overall course conditions are consistently good.
