COMMENTS: I would give Midland Trail an "excellent" on yardage marking if they used the same colors to mark distances and flag positions as the rest of the world. But hey, it's a private club. I'm sure the members know what color to look for. Nice layout with mature trees. Beautiful tee shot on the first hole from the elavated tee, next to the clubhouse. The rough can be devasting if they let it grow. MOERON Pick of the Week 2-02.

MIDLAND TRAIL GOLF COURSE
Shebyville Rd. Louisville KY 502-245-0223
This course is private. Proper attire required. As a guest, you need cash! They have a driving range. They have a full bar and a great bartender. No houses. No caddies. Zoysia fairways lead to bent grass greens. Along the way, you can be tripped up by water, sand, and mature trees. The course is flat, with the exception of the first and tenth tee, which are elevated above the rest of the course. Midland Trail is part of Audubon Society Cooperative Effort. So be aware of the environmentally sensitive areas. The course was designed by E. Lawrence Packard. Built in? Ask the bartender.
